We Tested Positive
Yes, we were all sick for the full month of January, 2022. It was a rollercoaster of ailments and we all had different symptoms. This was our journey:
Week 1:
At first, we weren't quite sure if that's what was creeping in on us because, though both of my girls started showing flu-like symptoms (i.e. heavy cough and congestion) and weakness, the test results all came back negative for us. Too soon, I suppose. Either way, I immediately doubled up on our supplements/oil usage. The next days, we waited out, confined at home and treating their ailments as the flu. Only the girls were sick. Hubby and I felt fine. During that time, I diffused Thieves essential oil throughout the house, all day/everyday. I also made my Immunity Spray Bottle* and gathered all my goodies for respiratory support* for the girls. I cared for them using daily and nightly, my go-to oils. Again, hubby and I were fine.
Week 2:
After retesting, we confirmed the girls were positive early in the week. Still continued with cough and congestion. They never had fevers. Hubby, however, by the end of the week started feeling sick, with a fever and chills, the first night. We tested him the day after his first symptoms and he also tested positive. He didn't stay sick for long though. After that first night, he had cough for next few days and then was completely back to normal. I was still negative.
Week 3:
Hubby was good by beginning of the third week. Girls continued with cough and congestion, but started feeling better. By the end of the week, I began to feel extremely tired and was suffering with some strong headaches. My test...positive. I maintained my oily and supplement routine to help ease my ailments. I was concentrating on my respiratory maintenance and making sure to avoid a throat infection. I used to suffer from those growing up and have always tried to do everything possible to keep the throat tickle at bay. I definitely did, too. Never got an infection. My symptoms were much milder than everyone else. I'd say the worst for me were the headaches and tiredness. Girls were much better by end of the third week. Hubby was totally fine, too.
Week 4:
Girls and Hubby were over it and all tested negative mid week. I was still positive, though feeling much better. I waited till the end of the week to retest and finally, I was negative. Unfortunately, by that time, I ended up loosing my sense of taste and smell! Not a good feeling! So, I immediately began my Olfactory Training* for the next 25 days and I'm happy to say, I am finally back to normal! I can smell and taste just fine! I think I even boosted those senses a little more than before! But I'm certainly ok with that.
Thankfully, we are all doing well now and were able to get through this ordeal with Covid.
I decided to share because it's important to know the symptoms are not all the same for everyone. Also, as noted, we can each recover at different times. Did you have Covid, too? How were you able to cope with symptoms and its aftermath? If you'd like to share, do so by sending a message (below). Thank you and stay safe.
